Taciturn Tuesdays: Sugar-Free Simple Summer Sorbet

In a wonderful turn of events, both mangoes and mango juice were on sale today at the grocery store. And what did I do with said items? I turned them into a delicious, delicious sorbet. I also managed to omit sugar from the recipe with absolutely zero discernible effect.

Sugar-Free Mango Sorbet

Ready? Take three mangoes, one cup of mango juice, 1/4 cup orange juice, and 1 cup coconut milk. Combine the ingredients in a blender, then strain the mixture into a bowl. Pour the strained mixture into an ice cream maker, and follow the manufacturer's instructions to turn said mixture into sorbet.

Serve with absolutely nothing else, or with a couple of shortbread cookies.

  2. Wonderful! Thanks for this. I always have mangoes on hand during the season but didn't have any ideas on how to turn them into sugar-free dessert.
